At Oceanauts Diving, we’ve hit a major milestone. We are officially a fully certified IDEST Workshop, providing professional, in-house scuba cylinder testing and equipment servicing right here in Warrenpoint.
Whether you are a local diver or traveling along the M1 corridor from Dublin or Belfast, our new station is designed to get your life support equipment back in the water safely, legally, and efficiently.
⚖️ The Law: 2.5 Years and 5 Years
In both the UK and the Republic of Ireland, high-pressure scuba cylinders are legally required to undergo a Visual Inspection every 2.5 years and a Hydrostatic Test every 5 years.
If your cylinder is out of date, reputable dive centers and clubs will not fill it. As an IDEST workshop, our accredited technicians test your tanks to the absolute highest UK and industry standards, keeping you safe and compliant.
🫁 Don't Forget Your Regulators
While you are checking the dates on your cylinders, it’s the perfect time to check your breathing gas delivery systems. Scuba regulators should be fully serviced annually to ensure optimal performance, prevent free-flows in cold water, and maintain manufacturer warranties. We service all major brands using specialized diagnostic tools and genuine authorized parts.

We believe in transparent pricing. Many shops charge a base fee for a cylinder test and then surprise you with added labor costs for the cylinder valve. At Oceanauts, our flat-rate testing includes full valve service labor as standard.

- Drop-Off Location: All drop-offs and pick-ups are handled at 38 Springfield Road, Warrenpoint. (Please note: The technical workshop itself remains a staff-only area for safety and insurance reasons).
- Collection: We’ll notify you the moment your kit is ready to dive.
