Oceanauts Testing Station is a fully-certified IDEST Workshop. We provide precision engineering for your life support systems, from routine regulator tune-ups to mandatory hydrostatic cylinder testing. Our technicians are IDEST & ASSET-accredited and follow the SSI Equipment Service Program, ensuring every piece of kit is serviced to the highest industry standards.
🫧 Cylinder Testing & O2 Cleaning
Unlike many shops, our cylinder testing prices include full valve service labour as standard. When you pay for a test, you are paying for a cylinder that is ready to dive.

Cylinder Maintenance & Surcharges
- 300-Bar Surcharge: +£5 (Applied to any test for 300-bar cylinders).
- Twin-set Surcharge: +£25 labour fee for manifolded twins with isolation valves.
- Internal Wash & Dry: £20 (For removal of light flash rust or salt residue).
- Mechanical Tumbling: £35 (Deep corrosion removal using ceramic media).
- External Shot Blasting: From £25 (External corrosion removal and cleaning).
- Parts: Replacement valve seats, burst disks, or O-rings are charged at MSRP.
🫁 Regulator & BCD Servicing (Pillar 1)
We use specialized diagnostic tools and only genuine, brand-authorized kits to ensure precision tuning.
- Full Regulator System (Labour): £95 (Includes 1st Stage, Primary 2nd, Octopus, & SPG).
- Partial/Stage Regulator (Labour): £70 (1st Stage + 1x 2nd Stage).
- Regulator O2 Clean: +£20 (Available as an add-on to full service only).
- BCD Full Strip, Leak Test & Inflator Service: £60.
- BCD Inflator & Dump Service (Basic): £40.

- 💶 Euro Accepted: We happily accept Euro cash or transfers at the daily mid-market rate—no inflated "shop rates."
- 🤝 Club & Trade Rates: We offer preferential rates and logistics support for dive clubs or centers dropping off 10+ items.
- 📱 Digital Reminders: Our system automatically logs your serial numbers and test dates, sending you a reminder 30 days before your next service is due.
📝 Terms of Service
- Failures: If a cylinder fails a Hydrostatic test, the test fee remains payable as per IDEST standards.
- Warranty: All work carries a 90-day warranty on labour and parts replaced.
- Collection: Items not collected for more than 3 months following completion notice will be sold to offset costs.
