Collection: Hardware & Bolt Snaps
Precision is in the details. Our hardware collection is curated for divers who demand a "tidy" rig where every hose, gauge, and accessory has a dedicated, snag-free home. We exclusively stock 316 Marine-Grade Stainless Steel to ensure maximum corrosion resistance in the high-salinity environment of the North Atlantic.

The "No Suicide Clip" Policy
In professional and technical diving, your hardware must be a deliberate tool, not a liability. You will notice a total absence of carabiners or "trigger" snaps in our inventory.
Why we avoid them:
- The "Line Trap" Risk: These clips are "self-clipping," meaning they can accidentally hook onto a guideline, a fishing net, or even a teammate’s gear without you ever touching the gate.
- The Danger: Once a trigger snap hooks onto something under tension, it can be nearly impossible to unclip with one hand, potentially pinning you to an entanglement.
The Oceanauts Standard:
- Manual Operation Only: We exclusively use Bolt Snaps and Double-Enders. These require a deliberate thumb action to retract the gate.
- Cold-Water Ready: We prioritize large-eye swivels that allow for easy manipulation even when your dexterity is limited by cold hands or heavy neoprene.
- Streamlined Security: If it can’t be operated with one hand in the dark, it doesn't belong on your rig.
