Oceanauts Diving was founded by Dain McParland, a Co. Down native from Warrenpoint. Dain first tried SCUBA diving on a family holiday to Greece in his early teens, a first experience that sparked a passion for the marine world that only got stronger with time. After earning his first professional certificate in 2008 as a Divemaster, he dedicated his career to professional advancement. Today, Dain is a certified SSI Instructor Trainer and XR Instructor. Following a decade teaching scientific diving in the Middle East, Dain returned home to channel his elite skills and passion back into the local diving community, establishing Oceanauts Diving as a premier Pro Development Centre capable of delivering advanced recreational, professional, and deep technical dive training.

Oceanauts Diving is built on a wealth of global experience and is committed to providing world-class SCUBA dive training in a safe, precision-focused, and welcoming environment. Ireland has a vast array of marine biodiversity and breathtaking underwater locations on offer to be experienced and enjoyed—we are here to bridge the gap and safely guide you into realms that remain just out of reach for most.

We are deeply passionate about conservation and the protection of marine ecosystems, a core value we pass along to every student and pro candidate. We do not want to just train divers; we aim to build environmental stewards who truly understand the ecological issues facing our waters. As a proud, official partner of the Mourne Gullion Strangford Geopark, we actively work to protect and celebrate the incredible, globally significant natural landscapes and tidal ecosystems right on our doorstep here in Warrenpoint and Carlingford Lough.
