SCUBA FORCE SHADOW: Premium 5mm Yamamoto Wetsuit

Performance Neoprene Redefined

The SCUBA FORCE Shadow is engineered for divers who refuse to compromise on mobility or warmth. Crafted from genuine Yamamoto neoprene, the Shadow offers a "second skin" feel that traditional petroleum-based suits simply cannot match. Its unique limestone-based cell structure provides superior thermal insulation while remaining incredibly soft and resistant to compression at depth.

Key Technical Features:

  • Yamamoto Ultra-Flex: Experience unmatched freedom of movement and effortless donning thanks to the industry's most flexible neoprene.

  • Tactical Storage: Features integrated zippered pockets on the thighs, a rarity in 5mm suits, perfect for stowing spare masks, slates, or SMBs.

  • The "Stay-Put" Computer Strap: A dedicated integrated strap on the wrist ensures your dive computer remains secure and in position, even as the suit compresses during descent.

  • High-Wear Reinforcement: Heavy-duty printed reinforcement on the shoulders and knees protects the suit from BCD friction and the rigors of rocky shore entries.

  • Easy Entry: The rugged back-zip design with an extended pull-cord allows for independent, hassle-free kitting up.

⚓ Oceanauts Academy: Tech Tip

The Fit is the Filter

A wetsuit works by trapping a thin layer of water against your skin, which your body then heats up. For this system to work, the fit must be perfect.

1. Eliminating the "Flush"

If your suit is too loose, cold water will "flush" through the neck or wrists every time you move. Always aim for a "second skin" fit with no air pockets under the arms, behind the knees, or in the small of your back.

2. Durability: Shoulder & Knee Protection

The Shadow is built for longevity. The reinforced shoulder print prevents the "pilling" and thinning often caused by BCD straps, while the armored knee panels are essential for maintaining stability while kitting up on a moving boat or navigating Irish Sea shore entries.

3. The Power of Layering

To extend the range of this 5mm suit into colder months, consider adding a hooded vest. This prevents heat loss from your core and head the two areas where you lose heat fastest—effectively turning your Shadow into a modular 8mm system for the torso.

Academy Note: If you can easily pinch a handful of neoprene on your torso while wearing the suit, it’s too big. A correctly fitted Yamamoto suit should feel "snug" on land but practically disappear once you are in the water.
