In this course, you’ll explore how ocean organisms interact with each other and their surroundings, uncovering the flow of energy through various marine communities. - For Divers: Enhance your diving experience by gaining knowledge of marine ecology, allowing you to dive with a greater understanding of the underwater world.
- For Non-Divers: Develop a richer appreciation of our seas and shores and learn how to protect them effectively.
Prerequisites
- Guided Dive Experience: Open Water Certification is required.

Guided Ecology Beach Walk
Embark on an educational walk along the beautiful beaches of Carlingford Lough, situated in the Mourne Gullion Strangford UNESCO Global Geopark. Your guide will help you identify local species and explain the fascinating ecosystems of the intertidal zone. -
Guided Ecology Dive
Take a shore dive at Greencastle Beach in the UNESCO Global Geopark. Using the Total Diving System(including tank and weights), explore the subtidal zone as your guide highlights key species and ecological interactions.
